This park was designed by the renowned American landscape architect Frederick Law Olmstead and it is one of his three pearls in the 'Grand Necklace' of parks for the city of Milwaukee (the other two parks are Riverside and Washington). The park's location is perfectly positioned on the lake and some of the highlights include the North Point Lighthouse, the Lake Park Golf Course and their summer concert series for children. Check Lake Park Friends website for more details and event information.

tripadvisorLovely park! Even in the winter you have gorgeous views of the lake, walking paths, bridges, ravines, statues, and the lighthouse to see and visit. Great place to spend some time recharging.
MoreWe accidentally happened upon this park while visiting Milwaukee. We discovered a statue from afar and decided to go explore and learn more. As another happy accident, we discovered a waterfall on our way there. My teens loved walking to the bottom and exploring the rocks. The statue is impressive and honors Brig. Gen. Erastus B. Wolcott. There are so many bridges and pathways and stunning views of Lake Michigan. We were there on a rainy day and still saw so many people out for walks, many with their dogs. If we are in the area again, we will be back, hopefully on a sunny day!
MoreLake park is the most beautiful park in Milwaukee. So much to see - the ravines are gorgeous and so are the historic bridges. Highly recommend.
