I specialize in helping students from public and independent high schools, both here in Seattle and nationally, craft great college admission essays. With coaching and guidance the personal essay is a college applicant's best chance to tell their own unique story. I offer private essay writing tutoring that begins with concept discussions and includes constructive reviews of all drafts necessary to complete the all-important personal college admissions essay. In the summer and fall, I offer small college essay writing classes (limited to 10 participants per session) where students receive individualized attention and emerge with one completed essay and guidelines for writing more. The workshops cover essay do's and don'ts, finding your voice, and strategies for parents on how to support their student in this demanding process, Additional services include in-progress essay reviews; SAT/ACT Writing tutoring; and comprehensive help to complete all components of a college application.
