tripadvisorit was very interesting i was traveling with my family and seen this and we were all glad we went we had a great time going there
Morewe had stayed at the marriot and didnt even know it was next door. While exploying the area we came upon this wonderful place. Unfortunately we only had about 30 minutes. We tried to see all we could but there is so much and such interesting things. You can feel the history. you can put yourself in the past. It is wonderful. I wish we had more time. I was told to stay away from Little rock but our 1 day there was great and i want to go back for a longer stay. If you like history then its a free stop to get your fix! Highly recommend.
MoreOld grand house. Giant staircases and windows. Super giant windows. Staff super nice and helpful they are happy to be there and happy to share with visitors
MoreWe had visited the State Capitol and decided to see the more historical Old State Museum. Entry is free and it’s a very short walk from the main downtown area. The grounds are great and the building looks well-maintained. Inside there are historical exhibits as well as an exhibit on rock bands and some military things. Very interesting and well-presented
MoreWhen planning our recent road trip, visiting here was definitely something we wanted to do. The documentation of the history of the building and grounds is first-rate, covering the erection of the building, its gradual deterioration, call for a new capitol building, and subsequent uses and renovations. We parked in the hotel garage next door. Don't skip this one!
