The Alley on Bitters has housed San Antonio's most unique collection of locally-owned and operated specialty stores for more than 35 years. What began as a place for artists to showcase and sell their work has turned into a popular contemporary retail center. The center has several shops, restaurants, salons, and a yoga studio.

tripadvisorWe went to the bread box for our mothers birthday and it was amazing, but they served H-E-B tea which was kind of disappointing. but we also thought there would be more to look at here. most shops were closed when it was 12pm a common time, and for some reason it was eerie. Like a weird presence. i know it’s old but definitely don’t expect much when going.
MoreI once lived in San Antonio and occasionally visited Artisan's Alley. It has certainly been updated. There are new specialty shops and it is a great place to spend an afternoon. I especially liked the Bada Bing shop. I bought a beautiful jacket there. It was 50% off and unlike the large retail stores that buy special purchases to place on sale, it was regular merchandise. When I return to San Antonio, Artisan's Alley will be on my list to visit.
MoreI was going to shop with my daughter before our 7 pm painting class, but when we arrived an hour before the shops were close, including the coffee shop, very disappointed
MoreThis was a real happening venue for shopping about 30 years ago! It's coming back now and it's so exciting to watch!! Lots of cool shops, a great couple of restaurants, coffee shop, yoga studio, etc. It's a great place to hang out a spend a day!! I like to bring visitors from out of town, because it is unique!
MoreI remember Artisan's Alley back in the 1980s when it was a collection of shops in a mall that was made of old buildings attached to one another. It was so much fun exploring all the different shops and the merchandise was reasonably priced. But time marches on. Artisan's Alley is now much less rustic and much more expensive. There are quite a few clothing shops, few of which suit my budget or my figure. There are a couple of places worth repeat visits, though. Feather Your Nest and Gardening Galore are fun. The Pomegranate, where I've eaten once, has good food but, again, is quite expensive for the size of the servings. I'll go back because my shopping buddy likes the place, but I can't help but be nostalgic for the Alley of the old days.
