We went here for the first time and saw Spaceman which was billed as an immersive experience. When the rocket was accelerating you could feel your chair move. The seating was rather tight together though.

We have been subscribing to the Urbanite theater for many years. It's a small theater that puts on edgy thought provoking plays, often first run original productions, in an intimate space. The team and the players never disappoint and always generate lots of thoughts and discussions afterwards. Love theater but have never been? Give yourself a treat!

I've been to the Urbanite several times over time, and each time it has been a completely different kind of experience. Urbanite's spirits love to experiment, and find interesting playwrights, then stage them - in a remarkably flexible space - professionally. Each time I go, it's like a different theatre. A lively alternative to the traditional arts scene in Sarasota.

So impressed with everything about this perfect little theatre, from the box office attendant to the fabulous actors and set design of “Birds of North America”. If you like theatre we suggest you go see this riveting play!

What a gem in the middle of the city! The birds of North America was a poignant reminder of how important our relationships are between parent and child. And how fragile our lives are. Tiny little theater that has no bad seats. Only about 4 rows. We chose the front row which was perfect! Nothing to distract you from the actors. No need for my earphones either
