Fox Theater Theater ·$$

Constantly rated as one of the best venues to catch a show in the entire Rockies, Boulder's Fox Theatre is an intimate hall that seems more like a little club, rather than a concert hotspot. If you feel as if you are on stage, it is probably because this place barely fits 400 people. Nonetheless, the Fox has very precise acoustics and it draws some of the biggest names in music to its stage. And though these 'big stars' can easily sell out larger venues in Denver, they almost always opt to stop by the Fox, drawn by the sound and the cozy ambiance.

Used to love the fox but they stopped booking unique acts from around the state. Seems like boulder bands are really all it’s about but I don’t have the opportunity to see my favorite Denver and other Colorado bands. Seems like this venue is caring less and less about the local scene and more about how much $$ they can get into their establishment

Fox is not what it used to be. The sound was distorted and loud but no details. And worse they added 40% in fees when buying at the door! Why? It's like charging Ticketmaster fees even when buying direct. An $18 ticket costs over $25 at the door. And, I know the musicians who played this concert..they made $15.00 each... I'm not kidding. Fox kept most of the proceeds and all of the bar profit.

Staff denied us entry bc my friend wasn’t 21 at an all ages show! It was a Grateful Dead concert too! It’s supposed to be abt peace and love! We just wanted to listen to some good music! Paid $50 and was never refunded! The bouncer was extremely aggressive with my friend and shoved her off to the side! He started laughing at my friend when he saw her crying!

Staff were rude, self righteous, and came off as annoyed to be there, The venue itself was great. Get rid of the entitled college kid vibe and it would be better.

We had a great time with our adult daughters at the Wildermiss/Houndmouth concert. What a great place to ring in 2023! Sound was great, stage was visible from about everywhere and there was a nice full bar. Drinks were awesome! It's a small venue - the best kind!
