Known as the largest student bookstore in the United States, this bookstore fills two large floors right off of the University of Washington campus. It contains virtually any book a student or bibliophile might require. In addition to textbooks, the store offers a wide array of classic literature, magazines and study aides, plus day planners, backpacks, school supplies, art supplies, CDs, gifts, toiletries and electronics. There's also a coffee bar near the busy main entrance.

I placed a online order for a computer mouse and four or five days later come to find out that the thing is still four or five days away. Don't offer service online if you can't back it up with decent shipping.

I spent a lot of time in this Bookstore over the years as I attended the University of Washington and both my children have as well. My daughter is currently serving time at the establishment. It's a good store if you need something related to the college. However, it lacks a lot of titles that are available at other style stores. If you're in the area pop in and pick up a Huskies sweatshirt. Most of the kids you see in there are stuck buying their school books here. Of course, like all bookstores at universities, thereby back percentage is a total rip-off. And being a parent of a student here and having to pay the prices they want for their books only to get ripped off on the return really irks me. However, I'm now done ranting and will jump down off my soapbox

I thought i spent about 2 hours to choose which book i had to buy for my upcoming return trip from Seattle. The bookstore is huge, and it offers many discounted book, so i was doubting over so many options i had.

I love to spend time in this big UW bookstore. It has books galore, from gently used to hot off the press. Many have staff comments posted near them, which help the browser to decide what to buy. I have never been disappointed in anything I have chosen, based on one of these mini-reviews. On my most recent visit, however, I was dismayed to note what seemed like a major decrease in travel guidebooks. This is the first time I had to leave the store without my desired guide in hand. The store’s main floor consists of two levels. The first level holds books for adults, including fiction, nonfiction and poetry. Children’s books predominate on the second level. Texts and office supplies fill the basement, while anything technical, including laptops, are available upstairs. I have found the staff in all sections to be pleasant and helpful. Finding a parking space is often an unattainable goal in the University District. But a lot exists behind the bookstore. Visitors to the bookstore can park for up to two hours free in that lot with validation of a purchase for at least $5 from the bookstore. The store opens into the Husky Shop, which sells many items, including UW merchandise. A big cafe there sometimes brings me in to start reading a purchase while sipping a cup of rich and strong Stumptown coffee.

I so enjoy this bookstore! I've spent many hours here when in school and then when my child went to UW. Much of the Husky wear is spendy but there are always sale books! I've purchased a few children's books here as the upstairs is just for that. It's not just for the students. I still visit this bookstore everytime I'm in Seattle....just can't resist. (And, if you purchase, you can park for free).
