We enjoyed our stop here. The fort is a (exact) re-creation, but the history and museum artifacts are real, as is the passion of the knowledgeable volunteers! This is the site of Osceola’s first big attack on the US Army. The Fort holds events throughout the year. (Reenactments, demonstrations, archaeology - You can even learn how to make hardtack!) If we’d had more time, we would have explored the nature trails.

This really is a neat little National Historic Landmark. They've got a replica fort and a small museum that does a good job of telling you about the Seminole Indian Wars. It is not too crowded and normally this is a good thing. However, the volunteers try too hard to be helpful. Instead of incessantly talking, I wish they had first let us read the displays and then engage us in conversation afterwards. We couldn't even DO the museum.

not worth stopping nothing to see here, it's just four wood walls no one around nothing to show the way of living in a fort so drive by and say you saw it

We drove to this site and to revel in its history. Unfortunately the museum was closed but we walked all around the fort and read the markers. Even walked up in the lookout tower. Bring a bottle of water with you 'cause this place is hot, hot!

pretty disappointing. It's basically a tall Woden fence with nothing else. I was expecting a bit of a display like it might have been when it was a functioning fort. The kids would be bored out of their minds. I hope they add more to it.
