Impressive tree…but the jumbled, discombobulated and tall cyclone fence surrounding it make going there, we’ll, a bit uneventful bordering on silly.

An enormous fig tree with a temporary wire fence erected around it, which spoils the view somewhat.

Yes it is a tree. Not one seen to many places in the US. There is another one in the Old Mission Cemetery.

At least one of the biggest fig trees in the usa, and has always been a beautiful landmark for Santa Barbara. Already very big when I moved here in 1963. The structure of the roots and branches is very different in keeping with its size.Great natural “engineering”, beautiful to behold and ponder!

The tree is beautiful but there is a huge fence surrounding it. You can hardly see the tree. Not worth going as is.
