tripadvisorThis is not a walking or biking trail. It is a one-way road leading to people’s homes made for residents only. Don’t waste your time, not worth it.
MoreCars zip down over 25mph - it is very unsafe to walk or bike and there was a recent death. The roads sharp turns, steep grades, and blindspots make it dangerous. Beware - it is a one lane vehicle road with no shoulder, moderate cliffs, and traffic sharing the road going in both directions. Fires tore up the back end and all traffic by car and otherwise stopped. Plus, rattlesnakes and angry cows make it a dice roll in the warm months.
MoreI would ignore the reviews that are not positive. I love riding my bike since it does not go through, not many cars. Without many cars, it is a good road to walk. It does get steep if you are biking or walking but not on the best of shape. Again, it is not a through road and can be narrow and steep, bit that is its charm
MoreMill Creek Road is a windy, dead end, one lane, two direction road for residents. It is narrow and dangerous. With one vehicle in the lane, pedestrians have to stand on the edge of the road, almost falling into the creek. Every time a vehicle encounters a person, cyclist or another vehicle, there is huge potential for an accident. This road is not for tourists. It is also not very well maintained making it more dangerous. Barbed wire lines the street on both sides. Mill Creek is mostly private property, with no public access to Mission Peak - park at Ohlone College instead.
MoreGreat place to hike. It will get you up to Mission Peak. Takes you to the Ohlone College Trail. Very easy. Used to ride my bike up there. Cool creek along the road. Yours truly Mike Ornelas aka Mr. Fremont.
