Overlooking Gowanus Canal, Red Hook Grain Terminal is an old grain elevator in Red Hook. Constructed in 1922, this structure is 12 storeys high. This grain terminal has not been in use since 1965. There have been plans to transform this old terminal into a compost plant or a recycling plant, but nothing has materialized so far. Entry into the building is strictly prohibited.
