Great vibe. Worth walking around. Shops and restaurants. Blue domed building small, but interesting. Dilly Cafe across the street from Blue Dome was great!

The Blue Dome it located in the middle of a great entertainment district of Tulsa. There are enough restaurants and taverns within walking distance that over a weekend you wouldn't need to get in the car if you're staying at the Indigo Hotel. Even if you go want to explore, the area is centrally located and a short drive to The Church, Dylan Center, Mercury Bar, Centennial Bar, etc. Highly recommend staying in this area!

It is a shame Tulsa is letting this historic building fall into despair. Whoever owns it should donate it to the city to restore and offer people to visit the interior. The iconic Tulsan landmark used to serve travelers along Route 66 as a 24-hour gas station.

Great photo op but not much here now. I believe that this now houses a business but there is no signage to tell what kind. The building could use some sprucing up. A shame that if is not registered as a landmark and taken care of better.

The earliest gas stations were quite elegant, to attract the affluent customers who bought the very first cars. The 1925 Blue Dome Station is a rare surviving example. It was originally along Route 66 but moved here. It's closed and a bit shabby because no one can figure out what to do cost-effectively with such a small building. But it's worth stopping to see the beautiful exterior details. This is a beloved Tulsa icon--this area is known as the Blue Dome District, and check the street lights--they are little blue domes! A great stop for Route 66 fans.
