tripadvisorThere is a lot to see here, from the restored gas station to the train. The volunteers inside the visitor center were welcoming and informative. We had a great chat with the two gentlemen. It wasn't until we left that we realized that they were about to close up when we got there. They never let on and never rushed us. It was a great experience all around.
MoreThis is a cute place to stop on Route 66 to get out, stretch your legs and check this out, especially if you have kids.None of the buildings were open, and there is some damage to some of the attractions unfortunately. But we enjoyed looking around and taking some photos. We spent about 30 minutes here.
MoreHistory here, oil & transportation story of RedFork & Tulsa. The open air museum stop has a cottage gas station replica that is open on weekends for route 66 travelers.
MoreThis attraction is closed in the month of December. No sign indicating where to get the passport stamped. We would have liked to enter the depot and learn about the history. A couple other places on Route 66 have left a note who can stamp the passport in their absence or leave a ziplock bag with stickers with the stamp on it.
MoreAs I was heading out of Tulsa going to OKC by Route 66, stopped at the historical village. Quiet and clean. I have to say that the homelessness in OK is there but they are quiet and almost try to make their presence unknown. There was someone in the trolley but didn’t notice till I went to look at the trolley. Anyway, very nice and clean. Even left some $ in the donation box.
