tripadvisorOn the south side of the fountain in Copley Square are two larger-than-life bronzes of a tortoise and a hare. Why? And what do they have to do with Boston? Who knows . . . But they did seem to be a popular stop for folks to take snapshots. There is an easy-to-miss plaque set in the ground nearby that might explain who the sculptor was. But your reviewer simply found the pair of works to not be worth a second glance.
MoreThe square is a great place to walk through, and this is just one of the many cute works of art you can discover in the open Green spaces of the city.
MoreExcellent Bronze Sculptures in the park at Copley Square made by the famous artist Nancy Schon. Do check them out if in Back Bay on Boylston Street.
MoreYes, it is right there in Copley Square. Since you are there it is another thing you might as well check out. Actually it is nice coming across these small statures as you are sightseeing in the area. Since the marathon is there, I guess makes sense having a tortoise and a hare there too.
MoreThese sculptures are on the main Copley square. A bit of a quirky thing to find. The square itself it lovely with open spaces to relax and building with lovely architecture surrounding
