This is a very good place to see a concert and we enjoyed this visit, as well as many in the past. Sight lines are very good and so are the acoustics. Their programming is quite eclectic, so you will probably find something that appeals. Parking is not easy.

We've attended several concerts here over the years. It is a good and comfortable venue, fairly intimate. A very good place for a concert. it is a little bit of a walk into campus and you might have trouble finding parking nearby.

My friends took me here for a wonderful Cello & Piano concert. It's a small venue (maybe 400-500 seats) An older building with decent acoustics.

Hertz Hall was built in 1958 and is a 678-seat capacity concert hall. This has a main concert hall, green rooms and dressing room and smaller rehearsal spaces. Hertz Hall houses extensive collection of organs, grand pianos which are used for performances.

Hertz Hall is a 700-seat hall with great sight lines and acoustics for musical performances by both professional artists and Cal students (UC Berkeley Symphony Orchestra, University Wind Ensemble, University Gospel Chorus, etc. ), and the occasional master class (I recently saw Riccardo Muti, Chicago Symphony's music director, lead a master class there), seminar, or music festival. They also hold weekly free Noon Concerts here. And, no small thing if you're sitting through a couple hours of music, the seats are comfy. Check out the huge stained glass window upstairs, and if it's open step out onto the balcony outside of the window and check out the view.
