Nice stop for a picture while walking along Benefit Street. Couldn't go inside. It is part of Brown University. Reported to be built in 1792.

This beautiful building is actually part of Brown University and the headquarters of Brown's Public Humanities program. Since it's not a museum, there are no guided tours. The staff is very friendly but explained that they weren't available to show visitors around. There is a small exhibit gallery that shows projects by students. The staff gave a me a brochure with the web address for a virtual tour that allowed me to see much of the house and learn about its history.

The Nightingale Brown House is a hidden gem, you notice it when you visit the John Brown House Museum. It is worth to take a pic in the house since it has a beautiful garden and a nice yellow colors.
