The Nelson W. Aldrich House is a historical house that once belonged to the U.S Senator Nelson W.Aldrich who governed from the year 1881 - 1911. The house was built in the Federal style of architecture by a series of architects like John Holden Greene and many others. The structure has been listed on the U.S National Register of Historic as well as on the National Historic Landmark. The house is now operated by the Rhode Island Historic Society who give the mansion on rental for private events.
