I will definitely have to give serious consideration to attending any future events here. The restroom was so filthy that I couldn't use it and was nearly sick. Disgusting.

The Roots Cultural Center is dedicated to providing a nurturing space for live music in downtown Providence. Every night of the week, there is something interesting and new going on. Blues/jazz jams, strictly jazz jams, Big Band, Funk, spoken word and poetry readings. The vibe is welcoming, open and fun. If you are a musician, bring your instrument and sign up at the door to sit in. Or just come, listen and enjoy. This is a great place to check out the local music scene, right in the center of Providence. Entrance is often free, at other times there is a nominal cover charge. Comfortable spot for singles, couples, families and groups of friends. There is only a bar on site, but you are welcome and encouraged to bring in food from any number of nearby eateries.
