Very popular type of statue where the people take photos with it. We saw it when we had lunch at Wagamama through the window so when we finished we went to see it from near. We had no idea who this statue should portraying but next to it on the pavement is a plaque identifying the man as being leader of Boston Celtic Arnold Red Auerbach. From the other side of the bench where is the statue is another plaque with shoes. This one is honouring Bill Rodgers, four time winner of Boston marathon.

Didn't know who this statue was, but after a quick internet of Larry Bird (next to him) discovered he is Basketball coach, nice that he is next to Larry Bird, worth a visit.

We liked the design that the artist chose for that statue. It really feels like it could come to life with the details it has. We enjoyed the large cigar as well.

The statue is right outside the giant food court. It looks bronze and is sitting on a bench. It's an ok statue. It's nowhere near where the Celtics play. And it only takes about 20 seconds to look at.

A nice statute for the man. Right in the square. Interesting and if you're into the Celtics team you still l probably be into it.
