We go to Elliott Bay Books at least once a month. I could spend hours in this store (and often do) just browsing books, reading staff reviews and reading the book I just while drinking a cappuccino. The staff are amazing and I love their recommendations. They have never steered me wrong. Although it is large, it is not overwhelming and everything is easy to find.

Fun indie in the heart of Seattle. Much bigger inside than you would think! Everything was labeled and in order but it still had that local bookstore feel. Loved all the staff picks and everyone was very friendly.

This bookstore is quite vast and cozy at times. The staff is knowledgeable in certain genres. And this is probably why the crowds, even on weekdays and evenings, get a bit more attention. The indoor cafe can be at times quite full and lines formed for either orders or the bathrooms.

On a recent visit to Seattle, I made my first visit to Elliott Bay Book Company in many years. I always love browsing bookstores and perusing Elliott Bay is a wonderful way to spend time. The store is quite large but is easy to navigate. On the upper level, there is an extensive sale section which offered some good finds. While the store was quite busy on the day I visited, I did not feel rushed or overwhelmed by the traffic.

They were extraordinary. The man who worked the info desk on Thursday July 17 around mid day helped me find the books I needed. He went above and beyond by choosing two books for me based on my tastes. They were both so good. He made my visit extraordinary.
