Dr. Whitley received his Bachelor's Degree in Biology from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2008. He is a 2014 graduate of Pacific University College of Optometry, where he earned the Dean's Award for "academic excellence and commitment to fulfill the university's mission". He gained a wide range of clinical experience through externship rotations at Orion Eye Center (Redmond, OR), Dr. James Cornetta and Associates (Portsmouth, VA), Hickam Air Force Base (Hawaii), and the Sierra Nevada VA Eye Clinic. Following graduation, he completed an optometrist residency in ocular disease, refractive and ocular surgery at Eye Care Associates of Nevada. He provides diagnosis and treatment for various ocular conditions, including dry eye disease, allergies, infections, glaucoma and diabetes-related vision problems, as well as conducting evaluations for cataract surgery and refractive surgery. Dr. Whitley is Board Certified in the Treatment and Management of Ocular Disease. He loves his job & is very committed to his patients and the health of their eyes. Dr. Whitley is extremely humble; while upholding his professional demeanor, he loves to joke & laugh, as well as help his patients answer any questions they have.
