In addition to wellness vision examinations, our doctors are certified in the Treatment and Management of Ocular Diseases, and evaluate macular degeneration, glaucoma, cataracts, and more. Our doctors fit standard and complex contact lenses including scleral contact lenses and hybrid contact lenses for keratoconus and post-LASIK ectasia. We perform pediatric care from 9 months up. I am a doctor of Optometry, providing eye exams for glasses and contact lenses prescriptions and for general eye health, in which medications may be prescribed as well. I carry both the latest contact lens brands and samples of the newest solutions, and can certainly find the right fit for each patient. I am not a glasses or contacts seller, so new patients need not feel pressure to purchase from my practice. Dr. Whitley received his Bachelor's Degree in Biology from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2008. He is a 2014 graduate of Pacific University College of Optometry, where he earned the Dean's Award for "academic excellence and commitment to fulfill the university's mission". He gained a wide range of clinical experience through externship rotations at Orion Eye Center (Redmond, OR), Dr. James Cornetta and Associates (Portsmouth, VA), Hickam Air Force Base (Hawaii), and the Sierra Nevada VA Eye Clinic. Following graduation, he completed an optometrist residency in ocular disease, refractive and ocular surgery at Eye Care Associates of Nevada. He provides diagnosis and treatment for various ocular conditions, including dry eye disease, allergies, infections, glaucoma and diabetes-related vision problems, as well as conducting evaluations for cataract surgery and refractive surgery. Dr. Whitley is Board Certified in the Treatment and Management of Ocular Disease. He loves his job & is very committed to his patients and the health of their eyes. Dr. Whitley is extremely humble; while upholding his professional demeanor, he loves to joke & laugh, as well as help his patients answer any questions they have.
