Lady Wong is the creation of Seleste Tan and Mogan Anthony, a husband-and-wife duo with a shared passion for crafting desserts that honor tradition while embracing innovation. Originally from Malaysia, Seleste and Mogan bring decades of culinary experience from some of the world’s finest kitchens, including Michelin-starred restaurants like Jean-Georges, Perry St., WD-50, Shangri-La, and Four Seasons. Having built a life and family in the U.S., Seleste and Mogan draw inspiration from both their Malaysian heritage and the diverse culinary influences they’ve embraced throughout their journey. As parents, they understand the beauty of creating moments of joy and connection—values that inspire every dessert they craft. During the pandemic in 2020, longing for the comforting flavors of home, they began experimenting in their home kitchen, blending Southeast Asian influences with French pastry techniques they had mastered over the years. What began as a heartfelt project grew rapidly, starting with small pop-ups and culminating in the opening of Lady Wong in New York City.
