Guitar teacher with years of experience, with PhD in music. I am also a former Los Angeles high school teacher and hold a California Teaching Credential. I love teaching beginners from third grade up. I have been a university professor for now entering my 28th year. Just started opening slots for private students in Orlando as I am on a university faculty locally. My students when I lived in Jacksonville would come to me most often to help them audition for music schools (LaVilla Middle and Douglas Anderson High school magnets, auditions for universities) in classical and jazz, but some also come to me to develop their own voice in rock/metal, country or acoustic styles. I avoid students who want to just learn "Crazy Train" etc. but rather develop solid riff writings and solo approaches to give the rock guitarist their own style.
