This little hollow across from City Hall is most noteworthy for Robert Indiana's 1978 "Love" sculpture. The piece has become a popular symbol for the "City of Brotherly Love" and its image is plastered all over the city. It's 20-foot-tall appeal lies in its simplicity: The letters L, O, V, E, stacked on top of each other. During a usual lunch hour the park attracts an odd combination of Armani clad businesspeople and skateboarders who skinny-dip their modes of transport in this concrete pond. They're actually fun to watch.

tripadvisorWe walked here specifically to see the LOVE sculpture. It is in a small, clean park in the middle of a commercial area. I surprised at how small it is and that is is on large stand. It is still cool to see.
MoreI love how walkable Philly is and this was a neat place to sit and people watch.
MoreJFK Love Park was a lovely surprise during our visit to Philadelphia! Located right in the middle of Center City, this beautiful little park is a great place to take a break from exploring the busy city streets and enjoy some greenery. One thing we noticed was how many people were using the park for film shoots and wedding photos. After spending some time here, we can absolutely understand why! The scenery is beautiful, and it makes for a fantastic backdrop for pictures. The fountain is a real highlight and adds so much charm to the park. It’s a great spot to sit back, relax, and take in the surroundings. We also loved that there were activities like cornhole and table tennis available! It’s nice to see a city park offering more than just somewhere to walk through, giving people a chance to actually hang out and have some fun.Overall, JFK Love Park is a beautiful spot to visit while exploring Center City. It might not be a huge attraction that requires hours of your time, but it’s definitely worth stopping by to enjoy the scenery, snap some pictures, and take a little break from sightseeing. We really enjoyed our visit!
MoreUnderrated place to go, is an amazing place to spend time with friends.
MoreI was in Philly for a Conference. On our last day, which just so happened to be the day that LeBron James announced the move to Philly-- the City was all abuzz. It was a gorgeous day; not a cloud in the sky and a breezy 80 degrees with no humidity. Kids were playing in the splash pad, there was a DJ spinning the best mixes--I didn't want to leave. A, great afternoon! Yes, the LOVE statue is relatively small-- but for me, that was not the attraction-- the entire vibe was the attraction.
