In a beautiful Sunday morning we walked and picnicked at Baker Park. We met at Landmark of the Joseph Dill Baker Memorial Carillon Tower. Baker Park is a 58 acre community park complete with jogging paths, picturesque lake, Baker Park Bandshell, and a covered bridge. Having jogged and enjoyed lunch we listened a recital of 49 bells played in 12:30-1:00PM.

This is a very beautiful urban park close to the very vibrant downtown but a much more peaceful vibe. Plenty of street parking. Carroll Creek goes through the park. Picnic tables, sports facilities, walking paths. Park is clean and well landscaped. Regrettably there are no public restroom facilities. There are some small toilets behind the bandshell but always locked.

Great walking paths. excellent dog walking and play area. Lots of children's areas, and an outstanding Bocci court with viewing stands. This is a place to go for a great day outdoors. I like that some of the trees have identifying tags and there are many horticultural delights and Carroll Creek to top it off!

Beautiful outdoor area to hold a wedding ceremony without being stuck indoors or at a very expensive boutique type venue area.
