if you get the chance, take a whale watch trip into the Santa Barbara Channel. The amount of marine life here is incredible. Whales (several types), dolphins, sea lions and more. Go on a nice sunny day and enjoy...!

Have you ever wondered what the islands which we see from the SB shore are like. You can take a trip over, but the day I went, I must admit it was a rough sea...Worth the trip tho!!

Best way to see it is to book a whale-watching trip on the Condor Express. In summer/fall, there's one trip a day, from 10-2:30 that goes all the way to the Channel Islands, 24 miles out to sea.

We took the boat out of the harbor and sailed up to UCSB and had a great time. spending any time in the channel, between the islands is a pleasure. love to get out in the water and see the Santa Yenez Mountains, and the town from the water. what a nice day it was as well...lucky , were we to have a day to sail in the Channel Islands,,
