tripadvisorExcellent museum. Plenty of time to enjoy great art works. Large so plan on afternoon. Very well presented with lots of room.
MoreWe had such a wonderful experience at the Arlington Museum of Art. What really stood out to us was how thoughtfully the museum curates its exhibitions — each one feels fresh, imaginative, and designed to spark curiosity. Dennis, the Director of Facilities, stopped by to welcome us and even gave us a personalized tour of the Game of Thrones exhibit — which we highly recommend. We visit Arlington often to see family, and this experience has definitely made the museum a place we’ll keep coming back to!
MoreThe museum was between exhibits, so I didn't have to pay an admittance fee. I was led to believe that parts of the museum are always free but other parts require an admittance fee. Be sure to check. Depending on any special exhibits, it may or may not be worth the admittance fee plus the parking.
MoreI visited the museum pre-Covid at another location and found interesting art. Now located in the old convention center near the sports complex, there is a $10 parking fee and at $15 senior admission I expected more. The only exhibit was women artists which none of us enjoyed or appreciated. There was a Disney interactive section that was an additional charge, it seemed like a giant ad so we skipped this. I hope the owners read this and look to make positive changes.
MoreThe Pompeii exhibit was small but fascinating, but I didn't like the new space. It feels like a warehouse. The older museum had character and was downtown with easy, free parking. Now it's $10 to park at the new museum, which I didn't know in advance. The parking lot was also a bit of a pain to get into due to construction. I will definitely have to factor the $10 parking per car into the ticket price when deciding whether to attend future exhibitions. I wish they hadn't moved.
