tripadvisorThis is an enjoyable—and free!—outdoor space with a beautiful fountain and lots of nice, shady spots. What’s not to love?
MoreClose to many interesting, and beautiful things to take in. It's a pretty big area but very clean and we all felt totally safe while walking to lots of different attractions and eating establishments.
MoreLogan Square is the business neighborhood of the city with the attractive Swann memorial fountain with it's water spouting toads and turtles at it's center. It was originally called Northwest Square, and was renamed in honor of James Logan, an 18th-century mayor of Philadelphia. The area is a most relaxing and enjoyable stopping point for anyone walking the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, particularly on a warm summer day. A number of locations surrounding square have been named to the National Register of Historic Places.
MoreAfter walking the Ben Franklin Parkway and visiting a museum we stopped here for a pleasant rest. The Swan Fountain is lovely depicting three waterways in the area. There are benches around the fountain, green lawn and some flowering plants. It is a relaxing spot in the center of much activity. Make sure to stop and read about the fountain.
MoreWhile it's easy to walk through Logan Square, it's worth stopping to take a look at it and appreciate its beauty. In many ways, it's the most Parisian part of Center City -- ordered, beautiful, functional. If you can find a room with a view, take it, sit back, and enjoy Logan Square.
