I am both a field underwriter and an independent broker. So, as a field underwriter I will gather your information and as an independent broker, I am contracted with about 20 different insurance carriers so I have a lot of options. All of the carriers I am contracted with are A rated companies. I am also non captive. Meaning, unlike companies who have captive agents and have a couple of products to choose from, I have access to about a hundred products. It takes a little bit longer to become a broker but I chose to do it because it allows me to help more people because everyone is different based on age, health, goals and budget.
