Tom was fortunate to have Dave Morehead as his mentor, and in a very short period of time, he was able to build a renewal account that allowed him to set his family up financially for life. Two separate moments stand out that let Tom know that a career with AIL was the right decision: the first time he got his renewal check and the day he signed his SGA contract. Tom's career at AIL is full of highlights. In 1992, Tom became an 80/80 Club winner. Five years later, he was a winner in the 81/81 Club. In 1998, Tom was the #4 Personal Producer and the #2 Master General Agent in the Company. In October of 1998, Tom's stellar performance led to his promotion to State General Agent. Tom went on to be an SGA Category winner in 2004, 2006, 2009, and 2010. For someone thinking about a career at AIL, Tom says, "Go for it like I did 20 years ago.
