Chapman Mountain Nature Preserve sits nestled east of Huntsville and aims to preserve the environs that comprise the Chapman Mountain. Encompassing an area of 472 acres (191 hectares), the preserve features an impressive network of trails that is not only ideal for hiking, but also mountain biking and horseback riding. The scenic Moonshine Trail begins from the preserve's parking lot and ends at a serene little spring. Apart from the beautiful nature trails, it also features an 18-hole disc golf course for the sports buffs.
