Redwood Grove

Redwood Grove is one of the best-preserved sites located within Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park. Sprawling across 40 acres (16.18 hectares), this beautiful grove is home to hundreds of Coast Redwoods that are over 1,000 years old. The scenic 0.8-mile (1.2 kilometers) Redwood Loop Trail traverses through the grove, offering stunning views of the ancient towering giants. Interestingly, the park offers a guided audio tour of the trail, which offers intriguing insights into the natural history of the grove and traces the lives of the majestic trees. Apart from the clusters of trees, visitors can also explore the local flora and fauna that thrive in the grove.

Capitola

Capitola is a favorite destination among travelers passing through this route, particularly due to its scenic beaches and vibrant beachfront stretches. Capitola Beach is a must-visit when in town, especially if you wish to catch a glimpse of the pastel-colored, European-style houses that line its waterfront. One can also enjoy panoramic views of the ocean and town from Capitola Wharf, yet another idyllic spot in the city. When you've had your fill of sun and sand, head over to Capitola Historical Museum to learn about the fascinating history of this seaside community.
