Massachusetts Street or Mass Street, as it is lovingly called by the locals, is named after Massachusetts Emigrant Aid Company who established Lawrence. The blocks from 600 to 1200 are dotted with listed historical buildings. Some of these are the Watkins Community Museum, Eldridge Hotel, Free State Brewing Company and The Granada. This main thoroughfare also has many eclectic boutiques and restaurants.
