Located at the University of Michigan, the Matthaei Botanical Gardens & Nichols Arboretum is gorgeous! The botanical gardens feature many different sections including a bonsai collection, children's garden, herb garden, rock garden and labyrinth. The gardens also feature typical flora of different ecosystems like the prairie or woodlands. On the grounds, there is also a historic farmhouse that dates to the 1860s, that guests can visit and learn about. Have fun exploring the many trails through the majestic trees, parries, and gardens.
Buhr Park
Escape the hustle and bustle of the city by visiting the Buhr Park. This is a large park with sports facilities for softball, tennis, basketball and a swimming pool. Families can take a day out under the sun as they have picnic spots designed with grill and pool areas. During the autumn the park is scenic as most of the trees are shedding leaves of different shades of orange.
