The Ottawa Street Power Station that was once an electric and steam generating station, is now home to the Accident Fund Insurance Company of America. The original structure is included in the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 2008.
Sitting on a property that spans 9 acres (3.6 hectares) the historic house was built in 1855. The owners, James and Marion Turner built a museum within the Turner-Dodge Mansion which was later expanded by their daughter and son-in-law. The museum is in the classical-revival style to give it a different feel. It extends to three floors in height with a massive and grand facade overlooking the lush green gardens. It was purchased by Abby and Frank Dodge in 1888 post their marriage and did extensive work on enlarging the mansion, thereby creating a massive 8600 square feet (798.96 square meters) home. It was finally listed in the National Register of Historic Places as Dodge Mansion.
