The McAlester Arboretum is located within the McAlester Park (Peace Park) at the University of Missouri in Columbia. The arboretum contains hundreds of trees of 43 varieties, with several trees including a Black Walnut estimated to be over 150 years old. Trees at the Arboretum include Elms, Cypresses, Aspens, Oaks, Ginkgos, Redbuds, Sweet-gums, Maples, Evergreens, Birches and Willows.
