The STRAT Tower

The STRAT Tower is one of the most renowned landmarks in Las Vegas. At the height of 1,149-feet, the tower itself is one of the tallest towers in the country that offers rides such as Insanity, XScream, Sky Jump and Big Shot. The names of the rides are true to the kind of adventure they promise to provide. So, if you are on Insanity then get ready to be thrown off the edge of the platform for up to 1,000 feet and circle around at 70-degree angle with a spectacular view of the valley. X-Scream is bound to make your heart skip a beat or two as you dangle back and forth for 27 feet in the air on a teeter-totter device at the side of the 100-story tower. The best of the lot, however, is the Big-Shot, which is a breath-taking free fall from a height of 160 feet along with a spire. A controlled free-fall from the 108th floor known as Sky Jump is the latest addition to the list of extreme adventure rides. Whether you want to simply enjoy the views from the tower, enjoy a cocktail by the pool or indulge in the adrenaline, the tower has it all for a perfect Vegas experience.

Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Sign

The iconic Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Sign was created in 1959. The sign has changed its location on Las Vegas Boulevard multiple times as the city limits have increased. The back of the sign reads "Drive Carefully and Come Back Soon." Today, the sign is located in the center island of this famous boulevard, just south of Russel Road. Many regard it the last sight they will take in of Las Vegas on their way out of the city.

Bugsy Siegel Monument

Benjamin 'Bugsy' Siegel was a celebrity gangster who is believed to be one of the founding fathers of Sin City, Las Vegas. The gangster had invested tremendous amount of time, money into designing and building the Flamingo Hotel, the first of its kind in Las Vegas. After much fanfare, the hotel and casino opened in December of 1946 and shut down soon after a month, only to reopen in March of 1947, this time able to make a profit. But Bugsy could not live long to see the success of his venture and was soon shot and killed in Beverly Hills by an unknown assailant. Recognizing his contributions, the hotel has forever memorialized him in a simple stone pillar, bearing a plaque with his details that stands behind the resort’s flamingo habitat and waterfalls.
