Located close to Shaker Creek in Latham, Fox Preserve encompasses an area of 70 acres (28 hectares). Opened in 2017, this preserve is part of the town of Colonie. It is owned and managed by Mohawk Hudson Land Conservancy. It is scattered with thick Oak forests and meadows that are filled with wildflowers. It features several scenic hiking trails and picnic areas. Hike along these trails and enjoy the picturesque views it has to offer. Bird watchers can spot birds like bluebirds, Baltimore oriole and bald eagles.
