Top Cottage is a cozy little villa that belonged to Franklin Roosevelt, the 32nd President of the United States. It was designed by him. The residence was visited by important political figures including King George VI and Winston Churchill. The period décor gives a glimpse of this renowned political figure's life. Visitors with an appointment can tour the house to admire the Dutch colonial architecture and know more about the accessibility features added to accommodate the President's wheelchair. The villa is open for public visits from 1st May to 31st October seven days a week with three different tours at 11:10a, 1:10p and 3:10p respectively.
The Home of Franklin D. Roosevelt National Historic Site is an integral part of the life of former President of the United States, Franklin Delano Roosevelt. He was born here, spent his life at this place and is buried here too. At this site, you can explore FDR's house, the Presidential Library and Museum, and a lovely garden.
