Spanning 16 miles, Butternut Creek is a go-to place for fishing enthusiasts. The creek originates from Apulia Station and passes through Jamesville Reservoir and Chittenango Creek in Minoa. Here, you can catch various fishes including stocked brown trout and stocked brook trout. If you are lucky, you might also catch the wild brook. A great place to escape the hustle and bustle of city life.

While strolling on the South Main Street, the gorgeous steeple of the North Syracuse Baptist Church makes it hard to miss. This is a very beautiful church undertaking religious as well as educational activities. Children are given priority here and several programs catering to kids are organized by the church. In addition, the church premises are also used as a venue for many local events.
The Manlius Historical Society was founded in 1976 during the time of our country's bicentennial "fever." Strong volunteer commitment made possible early growth, the collecting of many local artifacts and the development of outstanding exhibits about town history. Professional staff and continued volunteer commitment keep the society very involved in the community today. Although located in the village of Manlius, the society is dedicated to serving the whole town of Manlius. We received our permanent charter from the state in 1990, and operate as a not-for-profit agency with a volunteer board. There are a number of ways to be involved. Please contact the Director at ManliusHistory@Gmail.com or by calling 315-682-6660 to be added to our volunteer list. Students may also inquire about internship opportunities.
