Nancy Lake State Recreation Area is surrounded by the pristine waters of its many lakes and ponds and refreshingly green forests. Visitors can stay in any of the rustic cabins in the park, but reservations are necessary. Activities at the park include fishing, canoeing, camping, and hiking, and also snow sports like cross country skiing and snow-machining. The weather in the park is pleasant for most part of the year, but tends to get cold during the winters. The area is home to diverse wildlife, including moose, beavers, loons, and a variety of bird species.
