Prairie Creek Public Use Area is a spacious green recreational space located on the banks of the picturesque Prairie Creek. Comprising a diverse landscape of ancient limestone bluffs, caves, and shimmering blue waters, the area is accessible for day use and as a campsite. The square-shaped, McClure Park is a popular spot for sport and recreation. While not the biggest in the area, this is still one of the most used parks, with plenty of facilities to indulge in. The park features well-maintained fields and amenities for baseball and tennis, as well as a playground for kids, picnic tables and lengthy walking and biking trails.

Ward Nail Park
One of five parks in Lowell, Ward Nail Park is a fine place for a bit of leisure and recreation. This little park features a number of facilities from a soccer field, basketball court and volleyball court, to walking trails, picnic areas and a children's playground. Additionally, the park also doubles as an event center, and occasionally plays host to small-time community gatherings, exhibitions and other low-key events.
