Heritage Park Village Museum was constructed as a memorial to the American Bicentennial. It was dedicated to the citizens of Oceanside and opened on July 4, 1976. Today, it stands as a lovely, peaceful park with mature shade trees, historic buildings, a picturesque gazebo and the home of the North County Model Railroad Society (ncmrs.org). The museum buildings capture early Oceanside from 1885-1920 and tours are available on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10am - 2pm. They are also available by appointment. Donations are appreciated. Heritage Park Village Museum is open to the public and available for special events.
