Established in May of 2005, the McConnell Arboretum & Botanical Gardens, or Redding Arboretum, is located within the Turtle Bay Exploration Park. Covering a beautiful landscaped area of 200 acres (80.9 hectares) the park displays individual gardens including a garden for kids, an herb garden and a Mediterranean themed garden. Apart from this, the place is also home to unique water features and sculptures that are sprinkled throughout the place, giving it a whimsical appeal. Open to public all week, the arboretum makes for a wonderful visit.
