Washington Park is great for families, day or night walks, and for playing softball, baseball games, etc. The park has a huge play ground which can accommodate smaller and bigger kids. You can rent out a picnic site here and organize a family picnic. Among the shade of the trees and cool breeze you will have a wonderful time with your loved ones. The restrooms are walking distance from the picnic sites. The park is ideal for children and families but it is also a great spot to sit alone with a book.

The McEnery Park is a breath of fresh air and is located right in the heart of San Jose. It is divided by the Guadalupe River and as a result, offers visitors an opportunity to enjoy a family picnic by the water or to relax with your favorite book to the sounds of the flowing river. Two playgrounds and long winding trails within the park ensure there's something for everyone at this beautiful green haven.
