Twin Meadows Boundless Playground is designed to bring joy to children, especially to those with physical disabilities. Aimed at giving physically challenged children a chance to do everything others can do, this park features common playground equipment that are disabled friendly. High backs and seat-belt equipped swings meas that children with physical disabilities can enjoy swinging right besides those on typical swings, which also opens the door for interaction between them.
Built in honor of the first African-American major league baseball player, Jackie Robinson Park looks to inspire the youth of the community with the vision of the sporting legend. A small but charming park, this recreational area includes a cover of lush green lawns, a few trees and a park benches where visitors can come by for a peaceful break from their daily schedule. The park also features a stone statue of the legend himself, which serves as a reminder of the great man's legacy.
Columbus Park
Our menu begins with antipasti such as calamari fritti, caprino, mozzarella di bufala, or fresh figs with prosciutto. Located in the Courtland Park, the Stamford Dog Park is an area for dogs where they can play around without any leash. The area is divided into two parts, one for bigger dogs and the other for small, old or timid dogs. Two dogs are allowed per owner or handler. Children can also visit the park as long as it is with adult supervision although it is not advisable to bring in small kids. All in all, the rules of the park ensures a safe haven for the canine community of Stamford.
Fort Stamford was built in 1781, in a bid to protect the coastline that extended from Horseneck to New Haven. The fort was restored and is used as a recreational park. The park with its lush green lawns, walking trails and picnic tables is ideal for a day picnic. It also features ruins of the fort and a garden.
