At the Frank E. Mackle Jr. Community Park the whole city can come together to relax and enjoy some Florida beauty and leisure. This great park includes a community center where activities are organized for islanders of all ages. It also has; courts for basketball, volleyball, and shuffleboard, a jogging court and picnic areas facing the beautiful lake.
Tigertail Beach is a beautiful stretch of pristine beach that's home to a lot of local wildlife, especially nesting shorebirds. You can rent a kayak or paddle board and explore the water or just relax on the sand. Tigertail Beach Park Rangers also provide educational tours and presentations on native birds along with other coastal wildlife, including turtles and manatees that inhabit this particular region.
