Named after the family responsible for its existence, Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park is a place all visitors to Grand Rapids must experience. This 158-acre (64 hectare) facility comprises a botanical garden as well as a sculpture park. Indoors, you can explore the Lena Meijer Conservatory as well as various gardens; outdoors, there is the famous Sculpture Park featuring pieces by the likes of Auguste Rodin and Jaume Plensa. Michigan's Farm Garden, meant to replicate a typical family farm from the 1930s, complete with bronze sculptures of pigs and goats, is one of the major attractions of Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park. The Amphitheater Garden, with a capacity of 1900, plays host to concerts in the summer. This is a place the whole family is sure to fall in love with.

Comstock Riverside Park is a massive 64 acre (26 hectares) park that's nestled on the banks of the Grand River north of the city center. The park is a perfect base for a river excursion, boating, fishing, or kayaking and also offers visitors plenty of picnic spots, benches, and wide grassy areas for recreational sports. It also boasts extensive trails and paved paths that run through a variety of vistas and are perfect for treks, hikes, or just a casual stroll.
Huff Park
Nestled in the downtown neighborhood of Grand Rapids, Fish Ladder Park is a beautiful spot. Here, you get to witness the migrating fish jumping their way up and down on the concrete stairs of the pool while bypassing the mighty river. This landmark boasts of designs by the internationally acclaimed sculptor, Joseph Kinnebrew, and was specially designed for people to view the migratory fish like salmon, steelhead, carp and others.
Rosa Parks Circle was designed by Maya Lin, the designer of the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial in Washington, D.C. In the summer, the Circle serves as a 13,000-square-foot amphitheater for festivals and concerts, and in the winter Rosa Parks Circle is converted into an ice skating rink.
