Soho Square Park

Soho Square is a small plaza that sits on the border of the eponymous trendy neighborhood and the Village. This park is one of many along Sixth Avenue (no self-respecting New Yorker, calls it Avenue of the Americas), that pay homage to South American revolutionary heroes. Soho Square presents the one that honors Uruguayan patriot and statesman, José Gervasio Artigas. It's a small park, but it provides a nice place of respite when traversing Soho to the West Village.

Battery Park City Park

Battery Park City is a 92-acre piece of land that was added to Lower Manhattan during the first excavation of the original World Trade Center towers in 1972. It is mostly residential, however there are a few notable attractions like the Brookfield Place shopping district, Pumphouse Park and superb views of Jersey and the Hudson. The Museum of Jewish Heritage is also located in Battery Park City as well as the Skyscraper Museum.
